Palkulamedu:

(12km from Idukki) Kochi, Alappuzha and other nearby towns can be seen from this peeks which is located 3125 m above see level.

Thommankuthu:

(17km from Thodupuzha) The 7 steps waterfall here is much loved picnic spot. At each step there is a cascade and Pool beneath. Thommankuthu is an ideal place for adventure tourism.

Keezharkuthu:

(25 km from Thodupuzha) The Rain Bow waterfalls, which cascade down a rock from a height of about 1500 m is a wonderful attraction of this spot. It can be seen through out the year in full swing. The forest around the spot is home to various medicinal plants. It is an ideal place for rock climbing, mountaineering and camp tracking.

Thattekad Bird Sanctuary:

The Thattekad Bird Sanctuary, covering an area of hardly 25 km², and located about 60 km north-east of Kochi (Kerala state, India), is one of the important bird sanctuaries of India. Salim Ali, one of the best known ornithologist has described this sanctuary as "the richest bird habitat on peninsular India". The literal meaning of Thattekad is flat forest, the region is an evergreen low-land forest and is located between the branches of Periyar River, the longest river in Kerala.

Eravikulam National Park:

Eravikulam National Park is 97 sq. km. in extent, situated along the crest of the Western Ghats in the High Ranges of Idukki district of Kerala state, India. The Park holds the largest viable population of the endangered (IUCN) Nilgiri Tahr (Hemitragus hylocrius). Apart from tahr, the Park is the abode of other little known fauna such as Nilgiri marten, ruddy mongoose,small clawed otter,dusky striped sqirrel etc

Malankara Dam:

Malankara Dam is constructed across Thodupuzha river 5 km from Thodupuzha for irrigation purpose.

The tail water from Moolamattom Power house is stored here.

The banks of the Reservoir can be developed to a beautiful tourist attraction.
